Michael Steele vs. Barack Obama

No contest. Who the fuck is Michael Steele? After doing a little bit of research, he is actually a rather moderate personality.

I think that the GOP was desperate to gather as many constituencies as it could in anticipation for the midway elections in 2010. They have figured out that they can't be the same party they were and expect to ever gain any traction again in this political system. I see comments from both sides of the conservative spectrum, and some in the Republican party were wanting a strong, far-right leaning RNC chairman, trying to use the same strategy as John McCain did with Sarah Palin to rally the party behind a personality.

Many in the party KNEW the party was in danger of DEATH if they didn't make the right decisions now. Even Mitch McConnell expressed his fears of this, of the party becoming a 'regional' party, which equates to a 'minority party'. If they ever wanted to make a decision for a chairman that would rally the party, this Steele was not it. He will not rally very many blacks to the Republican Party. The GOP should have waited to put a black man into their chairman spot until after Obama was out of office. After the inspiring oration from Barack in the last 24 months, don't really think very many blacks at all give a shit about this little black nobody.

I hope the party dies. Conservatives should be supporting the Libertarian Party, only they still represent the ideology of the most conservatives. The main tenet of conservative ideology is smaller government. The Republican Party is a big government ticket.

As a very moderate liberal, I would actually love to see a Palin-headed Republican ticket. I might even go so far as to say that i'd like to see a Palin presidency; not that it would ever do the country any good, but I think it would take something so far-right like that to happen to WAKE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE UP and revolt this bi-cameral system.

It took something far-left like Obama being elected in order to put an end to the plague Reaganomics has spread throughout this country. And people out there still fail to understand that's what Obama's presidency signifies. What better a way to say goodbye to the Reagan Era than with a black man.
